Stubbs and Raymond qualify for Doha

Rennae Stubbs and Lisa Raymond have qualified for the doubles event at the
season-ending WTA Championships in Doha.
The Australian-American duo join Gisela Dulko/Flavia Pennetta, Kveta
Peschke/Katarina Srebotnik and Vania King/Yaroslava Shvedova to compete for a
share of the $4.5 million in prize money.
Lisa和Rennae已符合进Doha年终赛的资格，这对澳洲与美国的双打组合，将和Gisela
Dulko/Flavia Pennetta、Kveta Peschke/Katarina Srebotnik、Vania King/Yaroslava
Shvedova这三对，角逐奖金高达450万元的年终赛。
Earlier this week, Samantha Stosur qualified for the singles competition,
where she will be pitted against Caroline Wozniacki, Vera Zvonareva, Serena
Williams, Kim Clijsters, Francesca Schiavone and two other players who are
yet to qualify.
“Lisa and Rennae first teamed up 15 years ago and it’s truly remarkable
that they are still one of the best doubles teams in the world," said Stacey
Allaster, Chairman and CEO of the WTA.
Sammy在本周稍早已宣布进入年终单打赛的资格，她的对手目前确定的有丹麦甜心、Z娃、
小威、克妈、凤姐，还有其他两名待宣布资格选手。
WTA的主席兼执行长Stacey表示，Lisa和Rennae第一次搭档已经是15年前的事了，她们至今
还能维持在双打赛事的竞争力，是非常杰出的表现。
After first coming together 15 years ago, Lisa Raymond and Rennae Stubbs have
won 33 titles with their most recent title coming at the AEGON International
at Eastbourne in June.
This season, the pair also reached the finals at San Diego and Cincinnati,
the semifinals at the Australian Open and the quarterfinals at Wimbledon and
the US Open.
As a team, they have qualified for the year-end WTA Championships six times
and won the title together in 2001.
Remarkably, Stubbs is headed to the Championships for the 15th time, having
first qualified in 1992.
In addition to winning in 2001, she was a finalist in 2004 (w. Black) and in
2008 (w. Peschke).
Both Raymond and Stubbs are former doubles World No.1’s and jointly held the
No. 1 ranking for three weeks in 2000.
自从15年前她们开始搭档，已赢下了33座冠军，最近一座是在6月份的伊斯特本。
今年赛事，这对搭档也闯进圣地牙哥和辛辛那提的决赛，在澳网进入四强，分别在温网及
美网也取得了八强的成绩。他们过去已符合过年终赛资格高达六次，在2001年夺得她们的
年终赛冠军，其中Stubbs包括和不同搭档的组合，共计已闯入年终赛高达15次，第一次是
在1992年。
除了2001年的胜利之外，她也在2004年与w. Black搭档和2008年与w. Peschke搭档闯入过
决赛，她和Raymond都曾登上过双打世界第一，在2000年蝉联了三周的球后宝座。
15年的情谊.....实在太令人感动了，恭喜两位!!
