Massimiliano Pisnoli, the father of De Rossi’s wife Tamara, was found with gunshot wounds to the head and on his shoulders by the Carabinieri (Italian Military Police) near the town of Aprilia just outside the Italian capital. His body was found in a decomposed state and initial examinations by the forensic team suggest Pisnoli was killed last week. The victim who lived in Rome is believed to have had a criminal record for being involved in robberies and theft in the past. Carabinieri from the provincial command of Latina are investigating the death of Pisnoli as they try to piece together a jigsaw surrounding his murder. The hunt is now on to catch the man's killer. A statement has not been released by the victim’s family yet, as investigations are on-going. De Rossi married Pisnoli's daughter in 2005. Roma have confirmed that the midfielder skipped Wednesday afternoon's training session.
