The 18-year-old, who plays for Partizan, has been tracked by Real Madrid and Juventus and was linked with a ￡7m switch to Manchester United last October. Jovetic visited Florence for the second time this week and spent Monday and Tuesday discussing terms and completing a medical at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. The man known as 「the new Dejan Savicevic」 is currently the top scorer in Serbia's Meridian Superliga with 11 goals from 27 games and has helped Partizan climb to the top of the table. Under contract until 2009, Jovetic is expected to command a sizeable fee, which the Tuscans hope will be covered by the influx of funds guaranteed if they qualify for next season's Champions League.
