The 21-year-old Bulgarian came to attention during his time with Lecce under Zdenek Zeman before moving to the Stadio Artemio Franchi in January 2005 for around ￡9m. Bojinov has rarely had a chance to shine in a Viola shirt and spent last season on loan with Juventus where he hit five goals in 18 Serie B appearances.
