Therefore/As a result, we have a need for an Electrical Hardware Product Engineer, based in Taiwan. Description This position is for a Product Engineer supportingx86 server platforms and options from the Enterprise Servers, Storage, and Networking division. The Product Engineer will interact with Design teams, Procurement/Supply Chain, Worldwide manufacturing sites, Services, and vendors to ensure the successful introduction of new products into WW factories, provide technical support of sustaining products, resolve complicated technical issues, recommend and implement product quality improvements, implement change management, and in some cases provide field and customer support. Activities include but are not limited to the following: design reviews (DFx), defining and documenting production test strategies, pre-production and initial production build support, replication of factory and field failures for debug, use of tools and software to debug and test hardware and firmware, complex hardware/firmware engineering work, analysis and implementation of design modifications or product enhancements, analysis of factory and field quality data to determine trends and implement continuous improvement, and participation in customer issue resolution. The Product Engineer will apply developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex technical and business issues, exercise independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices, and may act as a team or project leader for issue resolution and team initiatives. Education and Experience Required: Please note Graduate hire means you need to graduate from your highest educational degree within 12 months (military service period could be deducted) ‧ Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering is a MUST HAVE criteria. ‧ hardware/firmware educational engineering experience. Critical Competencies to Drive Business Results: ‧ Must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to work in a customer oriented, very fast-paced, and demanding environment with minimal supervision. ‧ Proven innovative problem solving skills and techniques. ‧ Broad to advanced technical knowledge of x86 server architecture and subsystems ‧ Ability to lead a team of people to effective issue resolution. ‧ Cross functional, crosss organizational, and cross company organization and communications skills. ‧ Proficient in manufacturing and field quality data analysis. ‧ Fluent in English (written and verbal). --
