标题[学科] chiral vs optically active

对於chiral跟optically active一直有点混淆
我自己的理解是，chiral是从分子结构上判断是否可以产生enantiomer
optically active是看实验结果有没有造成光的旋转
不知道这样对不对?
如果是这样，反应的产物是不是有可能因为变成racemic mixture
因而造成chiral但optically inactive的情形?
